FlexNet License Instructions for 2024-3

 

Schrödinger License Manager is the default licensing system for the 2024-3 Schrödinger software release. If you prefer to continue using FlexNet licensing with the 2024-3 release you will need to disable Schrödinger License Manager at the user level. Each user that needs to continue using FlexNet licenses must disable a feature flag on each machine on which they’ll be using the 2024-3 Schrödinger software; however, for networked Linux machines that share $HOME, the command to disable the feature flag only has to be run one machine in order for it to be disabled on all.

Open a Schrödinger Command Prompt or Schrödinger Power Shell and enter:

feature_flags -d SCHRODINGER_LICENSE_MANAGER

Open a Terminal and enter:

/opt/schrodinger/suites2024-3/utilities/feature_flags -d SCHRODINGER_LICENSE_MANAGER

In a terminal, run:

$SCHRODINGER/utilities/feature_flags -d SCHRODINGER_LICENSE_MANAGER

 

NOTE: FlexNet licenses will NOT WORK in Schrödinger software as of the 2025-1 release. We encourage customers to transition to Schrödinger License Manager at their earliest convenience to ensure a seamless experience.
